Meet Zolushka, an orphaned Siberian tigress who might be one of the luckiest tigers around. She was left to fend for herself when she was only a few months old, after her parents were taken from her. She spent time in captivity, with the goal of releasing her back into the wild. Finally, that day came.
The group at International Fund For Animal Welfare, along with partner groups, participated in this rescue. They had to do so carefully, because Zolushka is a wild creature after all. It took some time, but it was all worth it in the end. You can see her springing from her cage, as she escapes her last time in captivity and returns to the wild. Isn't this a treat to watch?
