Imagine being the owners of this well, only to wake up one morning and discover a wild leopard had fallen inside. Well, that's just what happened to these villagers in Mudrady, Udupi, Karnataka, India. Forest officials, who believe the big cat must have stumbled into the pitfall in the dark, teamed up with a slew of locals to save the big cat, refusing to let its fierce, defensive growls deter them from completing the rescue mission!

According to video publisher, Awesome World, the cat was taken to be treated for minor injuries and has since been released back into the Kudremukh Forest. We're so glad everyone's safe! Bravo to these heroic villagers for helping get the beautiful big cat out in one piece! Have you ever rescued a wild animal? Tell us your thoughts in the comments below and make sure to share if you found this as compelling as we did.
