Joshua Jordan of West Virginia was sick and tired of the sore back associated with incessant snow shoveling. Therefore, he decided to get crafty and find a better way to move all that white stuff! Watch as he starts with a snowball and rolls it across the lawn, allowing the snow to stick together and ultimately clearing a path to expose the ground underneath! While we're not sure this technique would work with white powdery snow (the wet sticky kind seems to be a requirement), we're pretty impressed by his cleverness!
According to WebMD, snow shoveling-related injuries send thousands of people to the hospital every year. They report that "muscle, ligament, tendon, and other soft tissue injuries topped the list of [...] mishaps. Among these, lower back injuries were common." While Joshua's snowball-rolling strategy may require some uncomfortable crouching, we have to admit it's probably less strenuous than heaving heavy shovelfuls of snow over your shoulder!
