Meet Yazhi, a puma (also known as a cougar) with a lot to say. When she opens up her mouth and begins making sounds, it's almost like she's singing a song to her caretakers. It's much more beautiful and calming than the other big cat roars.

In fact cougars cannot even roar like lions or tigers. According to Eastern Cougar, the cougars make several sounds including "including chirps, peeps, purrs, growls, moans, whistles and screams," but no roars. Roaring is just not part of their defenses, like the other big cats.
