The circle of life can be both beautiful and harsh, but undoubtedly one its most lovely aspects is the birth of a new life. In the elephant world, the birth of a calf is a very social event. As you can see in the video below, an entire crowd of elephants come out to support the mother and show their love for the baby!


Youtube user "Fat Jen" put it perfectly in the comment section when she wrote, "It is a powerful sight to see other elephants instantly gather around to give support, love and protection to Emily and celebrate with her the arrival of her newborn. It is glorious to see baby Emma walking sturdily shortly after birth. That baby is a gem. "
