Herding dogs like Australian shepherds have a natural instinct towards the activity, but that doesn't mean they know the proper technique right off the bat! No, they must be taught how to herd according to their master's preference, and the first lesson is usually an introduction to the livestock that will be under their care.

Watch in the video below as little Aussie shepherds are introduced to a pack of ducklings. At first they try to blend in with the tiny quackers, but once Mom comes around to show them how it's done they quickly get the hang of it. Do any of you have a herding dog as a pet? Have you noticed its herding tendencies in regard to its toys or other pets? Let us know in the comments down below, and share the clip on Facebook if you found it as adorable as we did!
