The mammals are also known to show signs of grief, happiness, and joy, among a range of other emotions. It's been recently speculated that elephants can communicate long distance via a "sub sonic rumble" that travels faster than air. Pretty remarkable, right?
In addition to their extreme intelligence, elephants are cute, playful animals. Sadly, elephants face many risks in the wild in the form of poachers and habitat destruction. At Elephant Nature Park In Thailand - where the video was shot - the elephants are provided with a sanctuary to roam, play, and feast. Most of the elephants living there were rescued from tourist and illegal logging industries. Visitors who take a trip to the park get the incredible opportunity to spend time with the gentle giants.
